Every minute counts.

Friday night was the first meeting of my Writers Writing Boot Camp. We started with a bang, and I was helped. We really do get more done together. There are 15 people registered and 7 were able to make our first writing session. We wrote more than 4,000 words together.

As I finished my devotional time Saturday morning, I thought, I really want to write. I’m in the mood, but I have to get ready to head to Charleston for a book event. I have to go to the bank to get change, because some readers still pay cash. I need to iron or maybe I need to pick a different outfit, and my son doesn’t understand his literal equations. Real talk neither does his mother. I groaned about not having time, but then I remembered my own advice…write even if you only have 15 minutes. Small hunks of time add up to pages which make chapters, which in turn become manuscripts. So, I stole 30 whole minutes and wrote 276 words. I’m giving my new boot camp sisters credit for that. They inspired me to put my fingers on the keyboard.
